Ganta, Nimba County – The Liberian Youth for Climate Actions (LYCA) actively participated in the regional validation workshop of Liberia’s updated Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC 3.0) held at Jackie’s Resort, Ganta City. The exercise brought together stakeholders to review and finalize Liberia’s climate commitments under the Paris Agreement.
LYCA was represented by our Executive Director, Ezekiel Nyanfor, and Manager for Planning & Programs Emmanuel D. Wilson, who highlighted the critical role of youth, women, children, and persons living with disabilities in driving climate solutions.
During the event, our delegation met with Mr. Louis Kuukpen, Deputy Country Representative of UNDP-Liberia, to commend UNDP’s continuous support in ensuring inclusive participation throughout the NDC 3.0 process.
“This validation process is not just about climate ambition—it is about putting people first,” said Ezekiel Nyanfor, Executive Director of LYCA. “We are proud to represent the voices of young people and vulnerable groups, ensuring that they are at the heart of Liberia’s climate decisions.”
